WHO THE PROGRAM ADDRESSES
The open call addresses music educators examining the philosophical premises and consequences of their work. Relevant practices may be situated in schools, conservatoires, universities, ensembles, community organisations, digital environments, or independent initiatives. They may involve performance, composition, improvisation, listening, technology, teacher education, curriculum design, research, or policy.
Projects may begin from a course, curriculum, workshop, institutional problem, technological system, conceptual question, or broader practice-based research trajectory. Participants should be prepared to present work in progress, engage closely with others’ work, reconsider positions in response to discussion, and contribute to a collective research environment.
The programme does not require a complete philosophy of music education or training in philosophy. It establishes conditions under which philosophical positions can be articulated, tested, differentiated, and developed through practice. Intellectual curiosity, critical openness, ethical attentiveness, and commitment to sustained exchange are therefore as important as the current state of any project.
